Wreathes Across America - motion for 10 wreathes for $150. Motion passed
Coastal Carolina U - Movie night about veterans. Free at 7 PM. Tickets at Wheelwright.
Get registered on Agent Orange. Can affect up to 7 generations.

Honor Guard - 2 funerals, 1 event. 3 new members, have uniforms
AVVA - thank all AVVA members who are present. AVVA website on secondary PTSD.
Chaplain - Tom Middleton - not doing well, being evacuated to Columbia
Fundraising: Sam’s Club, Nov. 10 and Nov. 11. Card for business who donated In Memory plaque.
Old Business: Veterans Day - Chapter In Memory plaque to be placed at the Vietnam Memorial in Conway, 11 AM
POW/MIA ceremony - smallest one to date. 4 members from chapter.

Christmas Walmart Cards - start thinking about recipients 10 - $250 gift cards approved. 1 card will go to Street Reach.
Mission BBQ - 17 in North Myrtle Beach - good for veterans
Chapter will pay for Christmas meal. Approved.
Charles will let anyone who has a boat, camper, who wants to store it from storm.

Chapter will sponsor 2 holes at total of $200.

Honor Guard - 4 funerals this summer, Coastal Carolina wants us to do presentation of the colors, dates unknown. Ceremony Sept 21 - Marine Reunion - Gary Thomas group at Litchfield. Wednesday - 5 PM
AVVA - Homeless veteran - group (ECHO) will pay for housing, electric, etc. for 3 months. This is a grant. Thank you letter for $300 donation to

Correspondence - Letter from Merchant Marines thanking Chapter 925 for its participation in the ceremony
Honor Guard - 5 events Ron spoke about Embrace Veterans. Friday, May 20 at Conway Peanut Warehouse 4-9 PM. Honor Guard will do military ceremony. Friday, April 8th - Warbird Park for dedication of Merchant Marine Memorial. 10 AM. Parade - Market Commons. Sunday, May 29 - Myrtle Beach Golf ceremony. Monday, May 30th - Memorial Day ceremony.
Old Business: Military Appreciation Day parade on Memorial weekend on the 28th in the Market Common. Dinner Dance on May 14th at 6 PM.
New Business: Gandy from MB Pelicans spoke about Military Appreciation Night. Honor Guard will do the colors. All vets free.

Marilyn asked that Cathy Keister name be put on deceased VVA member plaque by the door of our meeting room in Golden Corral.

Fundraising: Veterans Cafe April 17 for Quilts of Valor. Starts at noon. $10 for adult. May 27, 28 at Sam’s. Sign up. Need to order more poppies. Roy Licari ordered 175 more flag pins which were really popular.
Old Business: Military Appreciation Day parade on Memorial weekend on the 28th in the Market Common. Dinner Dance on May 14th at 6 PM.
New Business: Card passed for people to sign for Cathy Keister’s family. Terry spoke about Cathy. Chapter 925 will donate $500 for the “In Memory” plaque in DC in memory of Cathy.
Terry gave a report on State Council meeting. We can have 2 delegates - 2 alternates. Next meeting is June 12
Spoke to new members about how our Memorial Day works.

Treasurer Report: $5448.63 Motion passed. Mileage checks were handed out.
Membership: nothing in from National. Called twice and got message.
Correspondence - letter from Cub Scout troop 899 thanking us for donation. VVA 925 is their sponsor.
Honor Guard -
AVVA - April meeting to elect a chapter representative. Cathy Keister will be election chair. Every AVVA member will get to vote. Ballots will be made.
Chaplain - none
Fundraising: One coming up in March 19,20. Signup. Scents for Soldiers having Valentine dance to bring more warriors to MB.
Pizza Inn put on hold for now.
Old Business: Military Appreciation Days - in May at Market Commons. Parade and picnic on May 28th. Veterans March will be on Memorial Day on Ocean Blvd.
New Business: Region 3 notes - new election form and new finance form on website. Membership questions - Khailila Hamilton, ext 120. Membership rosters may be online soon.

Honor Guard - Jerry has been leader of this and he has stepped down. Need to get a replacement. Jerry recognized MJ and Don Hayes as always there. Ron Thornton said he would help with the new.
AVVA - thanked each member. Welcomed Linda Mazzochetti. Sandy Steer talked about the coupon program which we are going to do.
Chaplain - not present
Fundraising: Walmart grant for $1000 was given to chapter.
Old Business: Motion last month - $500 to the Merchant Marine Memorial in Myrtle Beach. Plaque presented to Paul for his work as treasurer.
New Business: Board of Directors meeting -
No one from our chapter made the meeting for State Council.
50th Anniversary materials left so please help yourself.
