Honor Guard - at end of 2023, 32 events…2024 was 38 with only 11 were funerals. Will do MOAA meetings

Chaplain - Johnny Gossett is sick.
Fundraising: Bob asked about a virtual credit card to use for Walmart fundraiser. No phone number to call.
Old Business:.John Anderson service - Feb 8, at DAV building. Around noon or 1. DAV will help pay for food. State Council got $26245 in donations for Hurricane Helene relief.
New Business: Motion - Approve $150 for John Anderson service. Cancelling June meeting but will meet in April. Camp Corral donation for children of military persons - $600. Approved.
Delegate report - Charles Davies - New State Council president - seeking ideas on termination of VVA National. One idea put forward is scholarship for our grandkids and great grands.
New rules for going to VA clinic on base
Ask State Council and National to donate to the Myrtle Beach Vietnam Memorial.

Honor Guard - John Anderson’s service on Saturday. Feb 11 another MOAA meeting at Pine Lakes
AVVA - Rich got Paper Safes if anyone is interested.
Chaplain -
Fundraising: Rich has no way to get into Walmart system to set up fundraising. Looking at Bass Pro Shop
Old Business: Legacy - emailed Sam Brick, no response. Motion to donate to $234 for John’s funeral. Approved. John’s mileage check will go to his family.
New Business: George Livingstone, spoke on Agent Orange Medal Organization. March 29 - Annual Vietnam Veterans Day in Springfield, TN. George is a fundraiser for the Agent Orange organization. Motion - Donate $200
Delegate report on State Council - Discussing what VVA legacy will be. Changes to constitution coming. Motion for $800 for Charles to attend to convention in New Orleans. Approved.
Ron - Myrtle Beach will do military banners on flag poles. $100, first come, first served. May 10 - Military Appreciation Day at Pelicans.
Warbird Park Vietnam Memorial - tentative dedication on March 29, 2026. Looking at donation from chapter to help build it.

New Business: Life Care presentation. Gave Veteran info and We Honor Veteran program.
Charles Davies - gave questions for cessation of VVA National. Chapter voted to reject 5 of the 6 questions.

Pins and button from 2015 Vietnam Commemoration are free.
Charles Davies - VVA money may go to a trust fund to the Vietnam Wall to keep it going.
Ralph suggested fundraising for the new Vietnam Memorial in Warbird Park.

Correspondence - card from Minuteman Press. Letter from National authorizing 3 delegates. Letter from VVA about dissolution of National. March 1, 2028 dissolved to AVVA as a legacy organization.
Honor Guard - 2 funerals. Pelican game is Saturday. Market Commons parade - 9:30. Conway - Memorial Day, Long Bay. Sept 20th - Legends in Concert.
Greg Roles - giving free tickets to vets May 27 -May 30

Chaplain - Ed Tindall was in the hospital. Charlie Zweigel’s wife had brain surgery.
Fundraising: Palmetto Armory May 23-24
November - possible Bass Pro
Old Business: Vietnam Memorial. Donation of VVA reimbursement plus to $1000.
New Business: Last meeting until September.
We are a 501 c (19) and would need to get our own 501 c (3) to fundraise after dissolution.
Approved $500 donation for Cub Scout Pack 899, our chartered Scout pack.

Old Business: Military Appreciation Parade
New Business: Motion: take donations that were made to the chapter in Terry Steer’s name and add them to our donation for the new Vietnam Memorial in Warbird Park.
Board Meeting - looking at National Convention 752 delegates - dissolution denied by 752 delegates.
Betsy, widow of Vietnam Vet, brought his books on Vietnam War. Jerry will take them to ROTC at Coastal Carolina
Jaime talked about overseas travel where the VA covers medical costs if they are service related.
